Wolfgang Amadé Mozart has fascinated people all over the world for more than 250 years. The International Mozarteum Foundation is the world’s leading institution for the preservation and dissemination of this cultural heritage.
Founded in 1880, the foundation has set itself the goal of strengthening the understanding and appreciation of classical music and providing access to Mozart and his contemporaries.
With the organization of concerts and festivals, unforgettable experiences are created again and again.
The Mozart Week 25 – from 23 January to 2 February 2025
The Mozart Week invites you on a sonorous journey from the composers of the Renaissance to Mozart to the present day.
Destination Mozart – This motto plays around Mozart Week 25 and connects Wolfgang Amadé Mozart with the masters before his time. Top-class artists, ensembles and orchestras are also expected in 2025.
With Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo in a production by Nikolaus Habjan, artistic puppet play with The Gardener of Love, orchestral concert, chamber music, but also street dance, a Mozart pub quiz, silent film cinema with live music accompaniment, family programme, guided tours, talks and much more, the Mozart Week will be an absolute highlight in 2025.

Mozart’s World! – a cultural education programme of the Mozarteum Foundation
Packed into over 100 events, concerts, workshops and (museum) tours, Mozart’s world sheds light on the music, life, personality, environment and the time in which the great composer lived, making the genius and his creativity alive and tangible. Mozart’s World is aimed at all those interested in music, whether Mozart newcomers or experts, young or old, toddler or kindergarten groups, school classes, children and young people, families, visitor groups, individual visitors or people with special needs.

Big names in the Great Hall: The Mozarteum’s Master Concerts present a selection of internationally renowned artists on five Tuesdays in the most beautiful hall in the city of Mozart and become exquisite musical highlights of the concert season in this dazzling combination.

Concert on Mozart’s Dead Day
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart died on December 5, 1791. The anniversary of his death is celebrated in many countries as an important day of remembrance for his music and his influence on classical music.

ANNIVERSARY CONCERT 250 YEARS
At the same time and in the same place: 250 years ago to the day, on 23 April 1775, Wolfgang Amadé Mozart conducted the concert premiere of his two-act Serenata Il re pastore at the Prince-Archbishop’s Residence Theatre in Salzburg.

ORGAN AT NOON
On selected Tuesdays, the International Mozarteum Foundation invites you to a half-hour organ concert at noon in its Great Hall, which, with its exclusive ambience and excellent acoustics, is also one of the most beautiful concert halls on an international level.
