The heart of Salzburg’s world heritage
It is now 10 years ago: With the founding of the “DomQuartier”, the historic center of political and ecclesiastical power in Salzburg can be experienced again in a way that allows the guest to look through the glasses of the prince-archbishops. The residence, cathedral and archabbey of St. Peter have shaped the city and state of Salzburg for centuries and also form a symbolic unity in their architectural form.

Guest performance: Salzburg Museum
While Johann Michael Sattler – creator of the famous Sattler panorama – left behind views of the city and country of Salzburg, his son Hubert Sattler brought with him views from his world travels, which he converted into large-format works in oil.
The DomQuartier tour – here the journey is the destination
The DomQuartier tour conveys a unique interplay of 1,300 years of Salzburg’s history, art, music and architecture. An exciting journey of discovery following in the footsteps of the prince-archbishops at a time when Salzburg was still a sovereign spiritual principality in the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation.
