The Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg is one of Austria’s most important cultural institutions and an important center for the preservation and dissemination of the works of the legendary composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Since its establishment in 1880, the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg has launched numerous important projects and initiatives to preserve Mozart’s legacy and make his music accessible to a wide audience.
An important focus of the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg is the promotion of young talent. With numerous scholarships and support programs, the foundation helps young artists on their way to success. In addition, the foundation regularly organizes concerts, exhibitions and other cultural events devoted entirely to the music and life of Mozart.

The popular after work concerts with their relaxed atmosphere look beyond the “classical” horizon and have meanwhile become a and have gained a stubborn fan base in Salzburg. The cellist Peter Hudler opens up the the rich cosmos of Eastern European music with works by Sulkhan Tsintsadze, György Ligeti, Zoltán Kodály or Mieczysław Weinberg.

Program: Mozart: Sonata in D major for piano KV 576 Karol Szymanowski: “Masques” op. 34 Robert Schumann: “Carnival” op. 9 The young Bulgarian pianist Simeon Goshev has become famous at least since his since his victory at the Bösendorfer Piano Competition 2019. and since then has performed on some of the most most prestigious concert podiums. In this recital, Simeon Goshev combines Mozart with Karol Szymanowski’s three-part piano cycle “Masques” op. 34 and Robert Schumann’s “Carnaval.”
